There is a disturbing uptick in the frequency, breadth, and intensity of hateful and ignorant language. This came to a point the other day when someone I count as a friend posted a particularly venomous graphic declaring that Muslims hate: "dogs, beer, bacon, bikinis, Jesus, and freedom of speech," and asking "Why the F**K do they come to the USA?" The profound ignorance this is rooted in is staggering. I am not Muslim, but I have done a bit of study of Islam. TMNT Genetics Conundrum

I was thinking about the Turtles' original mutation, and I had a thought... They supposedly transformed into anthropomorphic beings because they were in contact with a human (Splinter) and the mutagen recombined their DNA. So wouldn't their "human half" be comprised of Splinter's DNA? Because that would make him kind of genetically their father, beyond the fact that he raised them. And that might make them genetically brothers, if only from their "human side", though they could already begenetically siblings from their "turtle half".
